Not too long ago, I was thinking about Granada and our company principles as a representation of how we approach work and life. Then it hit me! It’s Not About You!
We had always trained our sales, customer service and client services teams on the value of low self-orientation in achieving our goals. But we never were able to capture this philosophy in a single catch phrase.
We have come to learn that It’s Not About You! ™ is the core mindset in approaching customer experience. Self-orientation takes a back seat when you are truly focused on customer experience. Bottom line: how do I interact with this customer in a way that increases their sense of satisfaction with and loyalty to our client?
This principle underscores a true results oriented attitude. Parenting is a useful analogy. Successful parents know it’s not about them. It’s about your child’s growth and life skills.
It’s Not About You! ™ guides how we put customers’ interests and aspirations at the forefront of our interactions. We recruit employees with a humble attitude and an ability to see the big picture.
